THE RUNAWAY JURY - A REVIEW

"The Runaway Jury" is fundamentally a twist within a twist. Four Business Moguls have themselves unavoidably amid a trial. No, the battle did not begin with this trial. They have fought so hard to stay on top of it all, and they will rather keep it at that.
The real player behind the scene is Fitch Ranchin. A man who everyone answers to, even his very employers. Fitch is a no-nonsense ex-drinker. His employees quiver at the breath of his nose. He has been sober for about nine years because drinking did not look good on him.  He had an extensive reserve of cash called THE FUND at his disposal; the man could buy anyone.
His significant contenders were the set of Lawyers who had risen to the occasion of aiding the plaintiffs. Fitch is the man working from the shadows. After as much as 55 cases, they had seen enough of each other and Fitch's team had information on everyone.
Wendall Rohr, the lead lawyer of the Plaintiff, has fought hard to be a force to be reckoned with in his profession. Failed once but prevailed, he'd prefer it stays that way. Albeit Fitch is the real deal, of these cases 2 were ruled mistrials, 36 instances dismissed, and only 16 ever made it to trial. The man should get an award. Everything was going according to plan, at least that's what we have to assume until Darling Marlee makes the first call.  Her predictions are accurate; it is as though she could read the future.
Fitch is more thrilled than he had been in the previous trials, it's going to be a jolly ride.  She wants something, quite obvious. It's all games; calls after calls, her predictions continue to be valid until, of course, it begins to mess up Fitch's plan. She manages to convince him that her moves are for the best.
Trust Fitch to have everyone handled, he is trialling Marlee but having a hard time getting anything substantial.  The numerous occasions of Fitch's illegality is a lesson for any mastermind.  He had the money, he had the people and was sure he had the verdict.
Marlee must apparently have a pal in the Jury of 12. Her pal makes sure to keep things happening in the Jury so that the Jury appears to be a rather unusual one; different kinds of demands, and eventually sequestration.
It is all games and trials until members of the Jury begin to get off one after the other.  Ultimately, the foreman of the board meets his removal on the verge of the Jury's decision by a set of carefully orchestrated events.
Marlee had made such an impression on Fitch.  Both are playing the game so well, and Marlee is about to hand Fitch his verdict.  Money changes hands, and the confidence on the defendant's side rises to a hundred and one per cent.
The suspense of so epic, you'd probably have your expectations shattered while reading. John Grisham made sure to vividly explain each character's role in a way that twists their fate with the outcome of the trial.  This book is suitable for teenagers and adults since it has no substantial adult content.  Legal practitioners will also find it immensely intriguing.  An aspect of the book captures the science behind the health and safety of smokers. It also checks the concept of choices as well as moderation. It is a legal thriller that paints a vivid picture of corruption and things happening behind the scenes of legal proceedings.

Well, you know what they say about best-laid plans...
